We are now looking for a Revenue Controller for our Business Unit Smart Alarms. In this role, you will help us strengthen how we analyse, follow up and improve revenue and margin performance - alongside predictive forecasting of revenue streams and margins. The role covers all geographies in the Smart Alarms Business Unit and is based at our headquarters in Stockholm. The role reports to the VP Finance - Smart Alarms Business Unit.
The role
In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and BU leadership to create clear insights into revenue, gross margin and long-term growth and profitability.
You will focus on revenue models, data quality and performance follow-up, helping the business manage revenue drivers, margin development and enable sustainable value creation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Develop reporting and analysis for revenue, gross margin and profitability.
Support Budget and Forecast process.
Providing insight into key drivers such as MRR/ARR, churn, pricing, cost development and margin leakage.
Supporting business reviews, performance follow-ups and variance analysis.
Participating in system improvement projects important to your responsibility areas - subscriptions, services, renewals and revenue recognition.
Ensuring processes enable high-quality data for revenue, cost allocation and margin analysis.
Reviewing and challenging revenue recognition in recurring and hybrid business models.
Partnering with Sales, Finance, Operations and Product Management to improve revenue and margin analysis, insights, reporting and forecasting
Who you are
To succeed in this role, you are analytical, business-oriented and structured. You enjoy working close to the business and can translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations.
You are confident in your controlling expertise and motivated by improving transparency, decision-making for predictive forecast and long-term profitability.
We believe you have:
Solid experience from revenue controlling, business controlling and/or financial controlling, or similar.
Experience from recurring revenue, subscription-based or service-based business models.
Experience working with CRM, Operational and ERP data, financial reporting and process improvements.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
Experience collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Product Management and Sales.
A relevant academic background within finance, accounting, economics or similar.
Experience from extraction and data manipulation of large amounts of data from different sources and professional visualisation of related insights for different user groups.
It is considered an advantage if you have experience in Python / SQL or similar tools, and systems such as Salesforce, Navision or Business Central.
As the role includes both local and international contacts, you need to be fluent in written and spoken English.
